 FontLabStudio5
 FontLab Studio 5 是FontLab公司的新一代专业字体编辑工具软体。这是专门为字体开发人员、专业字库设计师、专业排版人员和美工设计师使用，提供专业及强大功能的设计 字库工具，来开发或修改一套字体。 它适合于已经有美工设计基础的设计人员使用，可以利用FontLab Studio 5类似向量绘图软体的工具列，快速的了解如何使用FontLab Studio 5的Tools, Paint, Contour等工具列，去设计中文字体、英文字体、符号、数字…等。
使用FontLab Studio 5设计一套字库，最多只能容纳6400 glyph字元，无论是中文、英文、符号，都不能超过6400个，也就是无法产生一套Big-5字集的字库。
FontLab Studio 5支持Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7，及Mac OS 10.3以上。
FontLab Studio 5 特点
- 背景式glyph字体设计：
可以设定群组的相邻和形状、正切点、自定的颜色、和流线化glyph window。
- 创新的metrics和kerning编辑工具：
多行式预览，更好kerning功能，更聪明的autogeneration功能。
- Pixelfont 支持：
import BDF bitmap档案，和产生pixelfonts，内建 autotracing功能。
- 支持Unicode 4.1
支持OpenType及TrueType字库格式，可以开启Mac Font做编辑 (Mac Type 1, TrueType) 汇入及汇出(import/export)字体，最多支持6400个字元(characters) 。

- 造字筛检工具：
Actions: Bold, Outline, Sidebearings Control, Scale, Slant, Rotate, Autohint etc. Python-based filters: Digital, Shadow, Bevel, Drops, Slices, Mosaic. All filters can be applied on one or many glyphs. Actions can be also applied on multiple fonts at a timer。
- 字体编码支持(Encoding)：
Unicode (up to 4.1), Custom, ANSI, ASCII, and virtually all known codepages and encodings, Chinese, Japanese and Korean double-byte codepages。
