 FontLabStudio5
 FontLab Studio 5 是FontLab公司的新一代專業字體編輯工具軟體。這是專門為字體開發人員、專業字型設計師、專業排版人員和美工設計師使用，提供專業及強大功能的設計 字型工具，來開發或修改一套字體。 它適合於已經有美工設計基礎的設計人員使用，可以利用FontLab Studio 5類似向量繪圖軟體的工具列，快速的了解如何使用FontLab Studio 5的Tools, Paint, Contour等工具列，去設計中文字體、英文字體、符號、數字…等。
使用FontLab Studio 5設計一套字型，最多只能容納6400 glyph字元，無論是中文、英文、符號，都不能超過6400個，也就是無法產生一套Big-5字集的字型。
FontLab Studio 5支援Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7，及Mac OS 10.3以上。
FontLab Studio 5 特點
- 背景式glyph字體設計：
可以設定群組的相鄰和形狀、正切點、自定的顏色、和流線化glyph window。
- 創新的metrics和kerning編輯工具：
多行式預覽，更好kerning功能，更聰明的autogeneration功能。
- Pixelfont 支援：
import BDF bitmap檔案，和產生pixelfonts，內建 autotracing功能。
- 支援Unicode 4.1
支援OpenType及TrueType字型格式，可以開啟Mac Font做編輯 (Mac Type 1, TrueType) 匯入及匯出(import/export)字體，最多支援6400個字元(characters) 。

- 造字篩檢工具：
Actions: Bold, Outline, Sidebearings Control, Scale, Slant, Rotate, Autohint etc. Python-based filters: Digital, Shadow, Bevel, Drops, Slices, Mosaic. All filters can be applied on one or many glyphs. Actions can be also applied on multiple fonts at a timer。
- 字體編碼支援(Encoding)：
Unicode (up to 4.1), Custom, ANSI, ASCII, and virtually all known codepages and encodings, Chinese, Japanese and Korean double-byte codepages。
