Fixed-size fonts can be used for devices with a simple font
display function such as mobile phones, MP3 players, digital
cameras etc, as these only require a low resolution LCD display.
At present, Arphic offers 12x12, 14x14, 16x16, 18x18, 20x20,
22x22, 24x24, 32x32, and more size fonts, for which there are
a number of stylistic choices including Serif, Sans Serif etc.
The aforementioned fonts currently include Traditional Chinese
(Big-5), Simplified Chinese (GB), Japanese (JIS), Korean (KSC),
Thai, Vietnamese, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Arabic, Farsi, Latin-1,
Latin-2, Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew, Turkish etc. In addition,
font size and languages can also be tailored to meet customer
needs.
Of the above fonts, Thai, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Arabic,
Farsi, Hebrew, where necessary they can also be used in conjunction
with a Layout Engine.
With Bitmap fonts, under 16x16 size the priority consideration
is a clear display, so Sans Serif style is mainly used and
the fonts do not come with stylistic changes. Over 20x20 different
styles are available, including Ming, Kai, Gothic and Gothic,
Round etc. |
